The Classic Shell Stitch Vest is a wear-everywhere vest that is crocheted quickly and easily from the top down, then joined at the underarm and worked in one piece for the length. The vest is crocheted in a simple shell stitch pattern and finished with a shell and picot edging. Crochet this classic vest in a wonderful cotton/acrylic blend yarn that is spun in the U.S.A. by Kraemer Yarns who have provided a myriad of beautiful colors to choose from.

Yarn Review
The suggested yarn, “Tatamy Tweed DK”, is a wonderful blend of 45% cotton and 55% acrylic that is packaged in 3.5 0z balls with approximately 250 yards each. This beautiful array of approximately 44 colors ranges from bright and playful to earthy tones, all with small flecks spun right into the yarn. Because Tatamy Tweed is machine washable, it is an excellent choice for everyday garments. It is fabulous for summer sweaters, tops, hats and even skirts! When you don’t want the overwhelming warmth of wool, “Tatamy Tweed DK” is the cool, easy-care solution. This lovely cotton/acrylic blend yarn also comes in Tatamy Tweed Worsted, 3.5 oz balls of approximately 180 yards each.
