A pattern for a Down Brim Cloche, a crocheted cloche style hat with a down-turned brim.
This design is a variation on the ever-popular cloche, a close fitting little hat with a down-turned brim. Embellished with primroses and a bow, this wear-everywhere hat is sized for an average adult woman’s head and is beautifully shaped for style, comfort and fit.
This is a pattern refresh. The original Down Brim Cloche (see photo below) was crocheted in a worsted weight or size 4 yarn that is no longer available.
Size: Adult woman – one size fits most.
Skill level: Intermediate.
Materials: ” Simply Soft Tweeds” (a worsted weight or size 4 yarn) from Caron.
Tools: Boye crochet hook, U.S. size I.
