Crochet a fashionable Granny Square Clutch Bag. A retro accessory that is so up-to-date.
Start with six granny square motifs that are joined to form a ring. Crochet around the top of the ring for a few rounds and then create an opening for the handles. Crochet around the bottom of the ring and continue the bottom of the bag in a granny square pattern. Crochet a base and attach to the bag. Attach a crocheted button and your Granny Square Clutch Bag is complete.
Size: Approximately 22″ around (measured below the granny squares) and 8″ in depth.
Skill level: Intermediate.
Materials: “Basic Stitch Premium” (a worsted weight or size 4 yarn) from Lion Brand Yarns.
Tools: Boye crochet hooks, U.S. sizes G and H.
